Work stuff
I work at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis as a Web Developer and Sys Admin. I help manage a number Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris servers. We currently use the Ruby on Rails web dev framework.
I'm the current Vice Chair of the IU Computing for the Commons.
Linux turn on
While working at UTSA in San Antonio a Biochemist turned me on to Linux while explaining to me it's benefits over other operating systems for his work. I looked it up for myself and discovered the world of Open Source. Shortly thereafter I destroyed the previous OS on my hard disk, threw Red Hat 7 on it and I was off and running.
Long Live Linux in Bloomington (and everywhere else)!
