Synopsis
Simón Ruiz will discuss the history and philosophy of Ubuntu. A non-linux user will demonstrate how easy it is to install and configure Ubuntu Linux with minimal instruction from Simón. Simón will also take questions from the audience.
Post meeting summary
With the help of his lovely assistant, Simón Ruiz demonstrated that even someone with no Linux experience can install Ubuntu Linux and get it up and running for every day use. Simón also pointed out the philosophy of Ubuntu Linux and handed out a sheet to help explain the importance of free software. Many in the audience of were new to Linux, and they seemed to really get alot out of the presentation.
