Topic: Welcome back to BLUG / Linux Overview
Date: November 9th, 2004
Time: 7-9pm
Location: Monroe County Public Library room 1C
Attendance: 7
Presenter: Mark Krenz
NOTE: Even though this is called the "1st meeting", there were actually several previous formal and informal meetings of BLUG under different organizers in the past.
Summary
This was a good return to regular BLUG meetings. Mark and Marina setup a computer to demonstrate Gentoo Linux and programs like Audacity. Interestingly enough, Shane Mueller was in attendance, who wrote part of Audacity, including the pause button and the toolbar code.
There was pizza and drinks and we gave out some Gentoo distributions.
