Synopsis

Matt Standish will be demonstrating a new backup scheme that he's developed. It uses rsync and he will be going over the basics of using rsync. There will probably be many questions and a general discussion of backup techniques.

I'll also try to burn some more of the BLUG/IUCC Live DVDs to have on hand for passing out. So its a good meeting to attend.

Post Meeting Summary

Matt gave an interesting overview of his web interface to his rsync based backup system. We also had a lot of discussion about backups in general as well as other things like Insight DSL and Comcast cable outages. Unfortunately I didn't have time to make the LiveDVDs before the meeting so I'll try to have them for the June meeting.
